Lily's Birthday Party

Lily turns 1 next week!  She has grown into a busy, fun, smart, adventurous, and curious little toddler.  She is no longer a little baby, and I guess I'm a little sad about that, but I'm also loving her little (almost) one-year-old self!  She is so much fun to play with at this stage.

One of the reasons I decided to have a baby is so that I could plan fun birthday parties!  Ok, maybe not, but it sure is fun! We decided to have her party a week early so that we could do it on a Saturday that wasn't so busy. Lily's party theme came from a cute little book that my mom read to me growing up, and Lily seems to really like it too!  Here are some pictures of our fun day!

I was so excited to decorate for this party, the book gave me lots of fun ideas!

The Big Hungry Bear was watching us all the while, trying to get our red, ripe strawberries! Watch out!

Waiting for our party guests!

I think she knows she's cute : )

Once some of our guests arrived we read Lily's favorite book!

And who better to read it than Grandma Hightower, all the way from Southport, Indiana.  (We are thankful for Skype!)

Quick! There's only one way in the whole wide world to save a red, ripe, strawberry from the big hungry bear!

Time for presents!

"Thanks for all the fun toys everybody!"

Aunt Caitlin's old, broken phone stole the birthday girls heart.  She's been carrying it around all day, talking to everyone she knows!  *Thanks Aunt Caitlin!

I adore this little girl!  I had so much fun planning a day to celebrate her!  It is a joy to be her mama!  I love moments like this. :)

Happy Birthday Lily!

Love my messy girl! And she loved her cake!

Do you think the Big Hungry Bear will recognize us?  I hope not!

Berry Cute!  Get it? Haha!

She partied hard all day and was so tired by the end!

Still looking pretty after one year of parenthood!

It was such a fun day!  Thanks to everyone who came to party - Aunt Caitlin, Uncle Isaac, Laila, Great Grandma Creek, Uncle Chris, Aunt Nicole, Victoria, Christianna, Grant.  And we were so glad to have via the incredible internets, Grandma and Grandpa Hightower, Uncle Hunter, Aunt Ki, and Grandma & Grandpa Fairall.  We love family, we love birthdays, and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! our Sweet, One-year-old LILY!
Happy Birthday CheeChoo!

And watch out, maybe next year we'll have another Audrey and Don Wood theme birthday and party in the tub!? Well, maybe not! ;)
